First of all welcome to the site and let me be the first to congratulate you on your new addiction :D So well done you have made it this far and despite there being lots of links, and forum sections this is all quite easy We should start at the beginning and there is no better place than ...... getting you signed up to the forum click here http://britishspeedwaysliders.com/forum/index.php and then hit the register link at the top of the screen......... agree to the terms......choose a username that you are happy with and isnt offensive (for future reference we have a strict policy of one account per user) ......... fill in the required details...... when you reach the VIP code section use 2407 (this is to stop the spambots) ...press submit and an email will be winging its way to your account where you will be able to activate your account and then log in So now you are into the main hub of the whole setup and we need to get you sorted out with the game. Save the following installations to your PC and then install them to the default paths Turbo Sliders Demo beta
congratulations you have the full and up to date game installed where you can choose to train on your own or you can dive straight in with network play against other members of the community. If you are choosing to train on your own to start with then start the game and familiarise youself with the menu.... to start with there is only one section you need to be concerned with....'tracks' ....... you need to add some tracks to your training list .... so select it and then select 'clear all'............. then go into the british folder and start highlighting some tracks you would like to try.... every track you highlight is added to your list....when you have enough press escape until you get back to the main menu and select train... it will take you straight to your first track.... the controls are simply the arrow keys When you are ready to race against others the servers and ip's section on the forum is where it is happening .....please look here if you need help for how to connect http://britishspeedwaysliders.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11&Itemid=25 As you have probably already noticed we have a full on League setup and just because you arent in a team it doesnt mean that you cant be involved. We have the Pool Academy for all new guys and gals to hone their skills and get used to the match process. It is run by some very friendly guys who all came through the Pool Academy themselves and are aware of the support that you need ..... matches and competitions are arranged for most Sundays giving you an opportunity to pit your wits against equal competition....................while you are in the pool you can guest for any rider in any team in the league and the opportunities regularly come up..... opportunities to sign permanently also happen................... the pool can be found here http://britishspeedwaysliders.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=40 This so far is the basic grounding that you will need..... as you spend more time on the forum you will get to know what the other sections are for and how things work........... it will be a good idea at a relatively early stage to look through the site rules and the server etiquette thread to become used to what is and isnt acceptable and finally....... if you need any help with anything then you can choose to either post here with your issue http://britishspeedwaysliders.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16 or feel free to send a private message to myself (spook), the pool organisers (Essex Maverick, and Nickfrancis10,), any of the guys with green names (mods), or indeed anyone else online as we are a friendly community and all remember what it was like to be new and trying to figure out how it all works |
